A few things you might wonder
Does Docnest copy or upload my documents?
It never uploads them. It shows each document where it already is on your Mac and doesn't copy it, except for documents you add to Favorites, edits you make in Docnest and AI answers that were never saved as a file. Docnest keeps a copy of those, on your Mac.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aside and others that write files on your Mac. When Docnest spots a new one, it asks before collecting anything from it. It's polite like that.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
The shelf and library dim and lock until you buy Docnest or enter an activation code. Your documents stay where they were, because Docnest never moved them.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and get a year of updates. After that it keeps working; you just stop getting new versions.
What happens to documents I skip?
They leave the Inbox but stay in the library, right where they were. Nothing is deleted.
